One day, Ayul noticed Ani lining up beside him in the hall during assembly. He whispered something to his friend and they both looked at Ani. Ani noticed what was going on but pretended that she knew nothing. From that day onwards, Ayul had fallen for Ani and surprisingly, Ani too had the same feelings towards Ayul. They were both in love with each other. But none of them dared to confront each other. They had no class together, so they never talked to each other. The two lovebirds kept playing hide-and-seek with each other for 2 years. For 2 years they kept a special feeling for each other; for 2 years they never communicated with each other; for 2 years their close friends knew what was going on between them; for 2 years they KNEW their feelings towards each other.

But they dared NOT do anything about it
In the 3rd year, they finally had Mother Tongue class together. Ayul gained his courage and took the first step. BUT Ani, despite her deep love for Ayul, tried to give Ayul the idea that she was not interested in him. Being a decent girl who was the pearl of her family, Ani sacrificed her feelings and rejected Ayuls love. She knew it was not the right time to get involved with guys. Ayul did everything he could to win Anis heart. EVERYTHING. ANYTHING. Ayul was very disappointed and he even did badly in his studies that he had to repeat his 3rd year.
During an adventure camp, Ani was so terribly surprised to find out that Ayul had gone steady with Jill, her classmate. Ani was deeply hurt and she had a tough time carrying on with the adventure camp. So Ayul went steady with Jill for quite some time. And Ani had to put up with what was going on around her. She plastered a smile on her face and reluctantly went along with her friends to playfully tease Ayul and Jill.
One afternoon, they were on their way to Mother Tongue class when Ani noticed that Ayul and Ami (Jills good friend and also another classmate of Ani) were talking very seriously with each other. Ami seemed shocked and Ani overheard their conversation.
So you mean this is just a drama? You have no feelings for Jill at all? You dont love her? You have been lying to us? How could you do this to her!
Anis heart skipped a beat upon hearing the conversation. Was she right all this while? She believed all this while that Ayuls feelings for her had not changed. He was just putting up an act to make her jealous, with the hope that she would accept him eventually. Ani realized that throughout his relationship with Jill, Ayul had not stopped being near Ani and looking in her direction all the while. He did not seem serious with Jill. He was still carrying on with the hide-and-seek game which they had been playing for 2 years. So was she RIGHT??
Not long after, Ayul had ended his relationship with Jill. He stayed single despite the long queue of girls waiting to be his next girlfriend. Ani too, chose to stay single when she could actually accept Ayul if she did not want to get hurt again.
Ayul and Ani kept their feelings STRONG for each other till the last day of school. And during that 4 long years, they NEVER once talked to each other.
Even though they are not in the same school anymore and never ever met since the last day of school, Ayul still has a special place in Anis heart. She can never forget the guy whom she loved deeply. Ayul was her true love. He is a nice guy and he had proved his love to Ani was true and sincere.
HE ACTUALLY WAITED FOR 4 YEARS FOR HIS LOVE.
BUT ANI WAS STUPID AND BLIND TO HAVE REJECTED AYULS LOVE.
Almost 3 years have passed. Ani found out that Ayul is now happily attached to Rose, who is a year older than Ayul and Ani. Rose was in the same club as Ani during secondary school. Ani was surprised that Ayul is now with Rose. They seemed so happy together. There was nothing Ani could do. She IS hurt. AGAIN. But she has no one but herself to blame. She used to reject and hurt many guys hearts and now she gets to feel how it is like to get rejected and hurt in love. Ani has changed. She is no longer decent and innocent. She is no longer cute or pretty or beautiful, whatever people used to say of her in secondary school. She has lost interest in herself and could not care less about the way she looks. She is not anymore everyones darling. Ani has completely changed - in looks, character and EVERYTHING.
In her new school, Ani met a guy. He is cute and knows how to sweet-talk. Ani knows she has to move on with life. She cannot wait for Ayul because he may never come back to her. So she accepted Mike. Ani had high hopes in her relationship with Mike partly because she wanted to heal her heart. But Mike proved to be an animal. He cheated Ani of her feelings, money and trust. Ani was devastated. During that time, she got to know another guy, Steven. Even though they had never met, Steven sounded very nice and Ani had begun to fall for him. Unfortunately, he ALSO turned out to be an animal. LIAR. Ani was traumatized. She has begun to lose trust in guys and dare not get involved with them anymore.
Ani is now living in misery. She has difficulty in trusting others. She is also facing problems in friendship. But she loves her family and friends and all the people around her. She goes by each day with smiles and laughter and even lent an ear to her troubled friends. She may be sad but hey, life has to go on! She wants to live life positively, cheerfully and to the fullest...
